During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, and forced shutdowns in the economy, local hotels in Chapel Hill were tasked with housing college students that did not have other living arrangements available. Then, all over one weekend, all of the students were scheduled to move out.
For a facility with a limited maintenance staff, turning over 50 rooms in one weekend was out of their scope. The Graduate staff turned to Sweeps to assist, and we got the project done on-time and on-budget.
Twenty Sweepers were recruited to get the projectd done. Our support staff met with the Graduate Team over Zoom to discuss job details and organize the project. On the first day, Sweepers met with client staff to learn the ropes and get supplies. In the midst of social distancing and protective gear this was no easy task. However, the Sweepers worked hard and were able to clean, paint, and generally restore 50 rooms in just two days.
