My name is Ryan Trojniar, and I am a hard worker who pays very close attention to detail. I love playing and watching sports (soccer most of all, followed by basketball, then football). I am also very interested in all things technology and I am currently teaching myself how to program. I like to read news articles in my free time, because I feel that it's important to keep up to date with world events. I also like to read scientific journals when I can, especially on the topic of medicine, because I aspire to be a doctor one day. I don't really watch TV very much, but I do enjoy watching movies and playing sports video games (FIFA is my favorite).
I'm very experienced in this field. Having been a service technician's assistant for three consecutive summers, sometimes we had to install 10+ machines in one room, so I am good with dollies, hand carts, etc. I also know how to operate a fork-lift. I can also carry 150+ lbs. at a time.
I also have a lot of experience in this field. Since I pledged a fraternity, part of my job was to make sure that our fraternity house remained spotless at all times. You could say that I cleaned extensively for these 8 weeks of my life. In addition, a lot of the work involved in my service tech assistant job involved a lot of cleaning and prep-work. For example, when new machines are shipped, they are always coated with grease to prevent damage while shipping. As the technician with the least experience, of course I was given the majority of the cleaning tasks and although it's not my favorite, I am confident in my cleaning abilities and think myself to be pretty efficient in doing so.
I have a decent amount of experience here. As Rush Chair and Head Rush Chair of my fraternity in 2013-2014, I was responsible for organizing events, making reservations, ordering supplies, etc. for all of our rush events. Some examples of this include: negotiating with restaurants and making reservations, working with party rental companies to set up events such as Poker Night and Star and Crescent Night (formal suit-and-tie fancy dinner) and of course, communicating to make sure that everyone is on the same page and shows up on time!
I am good at lawn-mowing and weeding. I also can trim high branches from trees and dig up small, unwanted trees.
I am a pretty well organized person in general, but I do not have any kind of formal organizational training.
I have about three years of experience with tutoring (at my old high school: Caldwell Academy). I haven't tutored in about 3 years but I believe that this kind of skill is one that cannot really be lost. My boss at this job held me in high regard, and my students made noticeable academic improvements while I helped them. The subjects I am the best at, and which I tutored students in most are: chemistry, biology, Spanish and math. I would tutor mostly high school students, however there were a few instances in which I worked with middle schoolers.
Very little experience with painting important things. The only painting experience I have had has been with projects I made myself (such as a wooden box for my car's subwoofer), school projects and painting miniature figurines (a past hobby of mine).
I am very fluent in technology that I use on a day to day basis such as Microsoft Office applications and internet browsers. When it comes to the very technical, I usually don't know much, but I am well-versed in technology in general.
